Day 7 has an exciting line up, the GRAND SLAM has just gotten underway and later today marks the start of the POT LIMIT OMAHA tournament. This series is flying faster than Muaaz Gani’s math skills, and its hotter than a one night all expenses paid dinner with Conrad Coetzer.

Wednesday saw 64 entrants braving the challenge in the GRAND SLAM, our prestigious R40 000 No Limit Texas Hold’Em Event. We’re expecting a number of players to join the field before the close of late reg. Additionally entrants can set their their sights on sitting atop of the MonsterJam Poker Tour Ranking Leaderboard, provided by our partners the Global Poker Index and the The Hendon Mob. The winner of which wins a trip to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker.

At the end of the yesterday’s play, it was Doc Kinesh Pather (581 200) heading into Day 2 with the chip lead. He is followed closely by who else but the defending champ David ‘Bozo’ Rosenthal (472 200), Nic Ioannoy (437 100).

The POT LIMIT OMAHA event gets underway at 7pm, and buy-in is R4 000 with re-entries and late registration until the end of Level 6. Blinds set at 30 minutes. Some would say twice as exciting as holdem, although far more dangerous. Regardless Omaha is growing around the globe and in SA.

I’m excited to be providing continuous updates from the tournament floor today and everyday of this 10 day MonsterJam Sun City Series.
